Biography

Prior to founding Hammerstone Partners, LLC. Shawn Morris has held a number of different senior sales & sales management roles at different technology firms. His areas of expertise include: inside and field sales, customer service, pre-sales support, and business development positions. He has sold or led teams that have sold: software, security, professional services, managed services, telecom (data & voice), disaster recovery, as well as other types of integrated technology ‘solutions’.

He has held sales and management positions at a number of successful technology firms including:
SAVVIS Communications, Digex (now a part of MCI), and Sungard.

Highlights

At SAVVIS, he was initially hired to build the west coast sales organization as a sales director, eventually running the national sales team as well as sales support and customer service organizations in Herndon, Virginia. Morris was responsible for hiring and managing over 150+ personnel during his tenure as Vice-President and his teams increased revenue in the company by over 400%.

At Sungard, Shawn served as Director of Sales for the Southeast Region responsible for staffing and growing new business in the region where his teams had a number top individual contributors.

At Digex, he was hired as an Account Executive and promoted to sales manager and was responsible for hiring/building the highest producing team (revenue per rep) at DIGEX. As an Account Executive, won numerous awards and contests.

Shawn Morris began his career as an Account Executive for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where he sold Insurance and Investment products.
